Table 2 Trustworthiness criteria

From: Understanding pediatric palliative care within interdisciplinary palliative programs: a qualitative study

Criteria

Techniques Performed and Application Procedures

Credibility

Investigator triangulation: Team meetings were organized during the thematic analysis, the results were compared, and the final results were identified

Member checking: post interview patient member checking consisted in offering all participants the opportunity to review the audio or written records

Transferability

In-depth descriptions of the study, providing data and describing the study design and its different sections (context, research team, reflexivity process, sampling, inclusion criteria, data collection, and analysis)

Dependability

Audit by an external researcher, responsible for the assessment of the study protocol, with a special focus on the method and process of implementation during the study

Confirmability

Investigator triangulation, data collection triangulation. The process of reflexivity was conducted through the description of the researchers’ positioning; reflective debriefing by the researchers during data collection and analysis
